Limited seats · Live sessions + lifetime recordings

A 8‑Section Film journey breaking down the ins and outs of the industry. Showing you how to get your project to completion..
“I’ll never make movies the same way again.” — Ana, Season 1 member
No film school application. No gatekeeping. Just serious, structured exploration for people who already care a little too much about cinema.
You’re writing, shooting, or cutting your own projects and want to steal the tools from your favorite producers — how to find the project, finding the right crew, and executing in a timely manner.
You already track new releases, festivals, and Letterboxd lists. This course gives you the vocabulary and frameworks to turn instinctive reactions into sharp, thoughtful analysis.
You don’t need gear or experience — only curiosity. We’ll show you how to take a project from a idea and bring it to life, understanding what makes a good production.
Each week focuses on one pillar of visual storytelling. You’ll watch a curated film, then join a live session where we break down key scenes together — plus optional assignments if you want to create your own work.
Week 1 — How images tell stories
Framing, composition, and visual motifs. Why one shot feels “right” and another feels flat.
Week 2 — Movement & blocking
How actors, camera, and space create emotional rhythm inside a scene.
Week 3 — Editing & time
Cuts, pacing, and transitions — what changes when you slow down or speed up a moment.
Week 4 — Sound & score
Music, silence, and sound design as invisible storytelling tools.
Week 5 — Character & point of view
How visual choices attach us to (or push us away from) a character.
Week 6 — Building your taste
Combining everything into your own voice — as a filmmaker, critic, or deeply informed viewer.

My goal isn’t to turn you into a film . It’s to give you tools so that every movie night — on the big screen or your laptop — becomes richer, more alive, and more inspiring for your own work.
“I’ve been a movie nerd my whole life, but this was the first time someone showed me how to see. Now I can explain why a scene hits me, not just that it does.”
— Ana, Season 2 member
“The weekly watchlists alone are worth it. I discovered directors I’d never heard of and now catch myself noticing echoes of their work in new releases.”
— Malik, filmmaker & critic
“I joined as a curious beginner and left with a short film I’m genuinely proud of — and a group of people who actually want to talk about production the way I do.”
— Jess, first‑time filmmaker

If you’re unsure whether The Film Club Course is a fit, these might help. And if not, email us — we actually read our mail between screenings.
No. The only requirement is that you care about movies and are willing to watch closely. We have complete beginners and working filmmakers in the same cohort — the frameworks scale to your level, and discussions are moderated so everyone can contribute.
Every session is recorded and uploaded within 24 hours, with timestamps and notes. Many members follow asynchronously from different time zones and still get a ton of value from the breakdowns and community conversations.
Plan for one feature film (or double feature) plus a 90‑minute live session. If you choose to do the optional exercises or share your own work for feedback, add another 60–90 minutes.
It’s both. We use theory only when it helps you see more clearly. Every concept — framing, blocking, pacing — is tied to concrete scene examples and optional exercises you can apply to your own projects or writing.
You get lifetime access to all recordings and resources for your cohort, plus any updates we add to that material in the future.
Join The Film Club Course and become part of the film community — own your creative voice — with the information you need to go to the next level.
Cohorts are intentionally small to keep discussions intimate. If enrollment is closed, you’ll be able to join the waitlist on the next page.
